      Duygu Semiz

      Duygu Semiz graduated from Uludağ University, Department of Psychology in 2005. She obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from İstanbul Aydın University in 2021. For many years, she worked in the public sector as a psychologist. Since 2020, she works as a therapist at DBE Institute for Behavioral Studies. In addition to EMDR Level I & Level II trainings, she completed trainings on Attachment Traumas and Protocols for Ages 0-3. She attended to all the workshops by the EMDR-TR Association and completed the Solution Focused Therapy training.

      Duygu Semiz’s main areas of expertise include panic disorders, anxiety disorders, phobia, depression, addiction, psychological traumas, migraine and fibromyalgia.

      After completing EMDR Level I training in 2014, Duygu Semiz worked in the field as a volunteer clinician in various social responsibility projects. She provided psychological support to the victims of Soma mine disaster over a period of 2 years. In 2017, she volunteered after the Ayvacık (Çanakkale) earthquakes. Following the bomb attack against the employees of İzmir F-Type Prison, she worked as a volunteer clinician and as a team leader for 15 days. In 2018, she worked with the victims of Çorlu train accident for over the course of nearly 6 months. During the early days of the Coronavirus pandemic, she took part in volunteer projects via online therapy sessions.

      Duygu Semiz is a member of EMDR-TR Association and ÇATED (Association for Couples and Family Therapy).
