      Mustafa Çetinkaya

      Mustafa Çetinkaya was graduated from Yeditepe University, Department of Psychology and Political Science and International Relations with high academic distinction. Following his graduation, he had his masters degree in Çukurova University in Psychological Counseling and Guidance and also has completed another masters degree in Political Science and International Relations in Yıldız Teknik University.

      Besides Çetinkaya’s undergraduate and graduate educations, he has received trainings on EMDR Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Couple and Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Addiction Therapy. He has also worked in Origins Behavioral Healthcare, addiction rehabilitation center in USA to boost his professional work experience.

      Between the years of 2010 and 2013, Çetinkaya has worked as an independent Project Evaluation Specialist in Social Support Program (SODES) in Ministry of Development.

      Between 2009- 2011, he also has worked as a teaching assistant in a foundation university in Gaziantep and between 2012-2015 he was employed as a psychologist in Ministry of Family and Social Policies. During these years, he has worked with adults, adolescences and families in private and family Counseling centers.

      During the period when Çetinkaya has took place in Ministry of Family, he has worked two and a half years in refugees camps in Kilis, Turkey- Syria border and has constituted psychosocial support services. With the support of Emre Konuk, the founder of DEB, Provincial Local Government and a team of academicians and clinicians, he has conducted scientific researches and studies based on EMDR Therapy in the camp conditions.

      Mustafa Çetinkaya, who started to work as a psychologist in the psychiatry service of a university hospital after returning to Istanbul, also co-authored published scientific research articles and articles in press, and continues to take part in various treatment research projects.
