
Zeynep Zat
Zeynep Zat has received her Psychology degree and graduated with a degree from Istanbul University. During her undergraduate education she has also gained the right to study a second program on Gifted Children. Following her graduation, she has completed a masters program in Queen Mary, a subdivision of University of London, which houses the most successful universities of England. She has also completed this program with high honor degree. After receiving her formal education, she has also attended Short Term Solution-Focused Therapy Summer School and Advanced Training for Children and Families.
During her time in London, in addition to academic studies, she served as a psychotherapist for East London NHS Foundation Trust The Psychotherapy Department with adult survivors of psychological, physical and sexual abuse. Furthermore, she has also worked with gifted children and their families, and provided counseling in National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC).
Other trainings she has completed include EMDR Level I and II, Couples and Family Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy for Personality Disorders. Zeynep Zat is also qualified to administer Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-R).
Anxiety disorders (e.g. panic attacks, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder), depressive disorder, psychological traumas, physical and sexual abuse, couples and family therapy are among her common areas of practice. She continues to provide services on Gifted Children and her Families as well, as her area of special interest.
In addition to clinical practice, Zeynep Zat actively participates in scientific research projects of Davranış Bilimleri Enstitüsü on treatment for chronic headaches, chronic depression, and weight control. Her research on panic attacks with our founder Emre Konuk was presented on 2013 Congress of International Family Therapy Association. Providing various training seminars within the institute, Zeynep Zat is a member of Turkish Psychologists Association(TPD), EMDR-TR, and Association for Couples and Family Therapy (ÇATED).
