Eren Saltık

Eren Saltık completed her high school education on scholarship at İzmir Saint Joseph French High School and Bishop Strachan School in Toronto. She was admitted to the Psychology Department of Yaşar University as the top-ranking student and completed her undergraduate education with a 100% scholarship and honors degree. She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with Thesis at Okan University with high honors, presenting a thesis titled “The Mediating Role of Emotion Regulation Difficulties in the Relationship Between Childhood Adverse Experiences, Attachment Styles, and Depression.”

During her university education, she worked for three years at Denge Psychological Counseling Center. In parallel, she completed internships at French Lape Hospital and Dört Renk Schools. Since 2021, she has been working within the Behavioral Sciences Institute.

In her counseling processes, she primarily utilizes EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Strategic Family, and Child-Centered Play Therapy approaches. She received EMDR Level I and II trainings from the Behavioral Sciences Institute; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training from Mehmet Zihni Sungur (ongoing); Solution-Focused Therapy training from Zeynep Zat; Strategic Family Therapy training from Emre Konuk; EMDR Level I and II training for Dissociative Disorders from Mustafa Çetinkaya; the “MMPI Personality Inventory Administration and Interpretation” certification from the Turkish Psychologists Association; and the Ministry of Education-approved Family Counseling training from İzmir Psychology Institute.

She has served as a consecutive and/or simultaneous interpreter for the Child-Centered Play Therapy training conducted by Brandy Schumann and Didem Altay, the EMDR for Anxiety Disorders training conducted by Ad de Jongh and Suzy Matthijssen, the EMDR 2.0 and EMDR for Borderline Disorder trainings conducted by Ad de Jongh, the EMDR Facilitator training conducted by Udi Oren and Isabel Meignant, the Use of EMDR in Depression training conducted by Michael Hase, and the EMDR and Grief Process training conducted by Roger Solomon.

While conducting counseling processes from a trauma-focused perspective, she mainly works with adults and children in the areas of various Anxiety Disorders such as Phobias, Panic Disorder, OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); Dissociation; Mood Disorders such as Depression and Bipolar Disorder; Eating Disorders; grief and loss processes; attachment and relational problems; anger issues; and psychosomatic problems (migraine, fibromyalgia, etc.).

She is a member of the Turkish Psychologists Association, ÇATED (Couples and Family Therapy Association), the Cognitive Behavioral Therapies Association, the EMDR Association, and ISSTD (International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation). She continues her volunteer work within the Trauma Recovery Group of the EMDR Association. She serves as a translator in the education committee and supports data analysis and statistical processes within the scientific research committee.
