Şebnem Altınışık Yılmaz
Clinical Psychologist Şebnem Altınışık Yılmaz, whose specialty is children, adolescents and adults, graduated from Istanbul University in 2003. She completed her master's degree in FSM Foundation University Clinical Psychology program.
She took part in projects related to child development and family monitoring during her undergraduate education. Yılmaz, who works in both education and clinical fields after his graduation, has 19 years of experience in the profession.
EMDR I and II. Level, and EMDR Level I training with Children and Adolescent has completed by her. She completed Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies Training in Depression and Anxiety Disorders, 150 hours of theory and supervision by Prof. Mehmet Zihni Sungur. There are both adult and child projective tests (Rorschach, TAT, CAT) trainings that she took from Rorschach and Projective Tests Association. She performs the application of neuropsychological tests and also provides the evaluation of adult individuals with objective tests. She worked in the psychiatry clinic in the fields of adult psychotherapy and addiction counseling. Şebnem Yılmaz, who also has Strategic Couple and Family Therapy Training, follows a holistic approach in adult therapy. She received her Play Therapy and EMDR training with children from Reyhana Seedat. In addition, she took play therapy trainings from various local and foreign experts. Şebnem Yılmaz, who worked at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic for nine years, conducted testing, psychotherapy, psycho-education and play therapy studies here. She follows a holistic approach when working with children, and includes various play therapy techniques, family counseling and psycho-education in her sessions.
She has given seminars on child and adolescent development in private and public institutions, worked in kindergartens and special education centers, and carried out individual education and family counseling duties. She has worked in the field of education, especially in the areas of exam anxiety and school adaptation processes, interventions for children with special needs, and healthy child follow-up.
Şebnem Yılmaz also attaches importance to social responsibility projects and takes part in voluntary work, especially in the EMDR Association Trauma Recovery Group.
She gave importance to education during her career, followed current developments, made presentations and took part in scientific articles. She still continues to teach part-time at a private university.
She works with trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, addiction and adjustment problems in children, adolescents and adults.
