
Emre KONUK
Emre Konuk completed his undergraduate degree in Istanbul University with a degree, followed by a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at Bogazici University. He took Family Therapy training and worked as a therapist at the Brief Therapy Center at the Mental Research Institute, in Palo Alto-California, USA.
He became a pioneer of psychotherapy as a profession in Turkey by founding the Institute for Behavioral Studies (DBE Davranış Bilimleri Enstitüsü) in 1985, with the vision of providing psychological services to individuals, couples and families. In 1998, as another field of psychology, he established the Organizational Development Center in order to contribute to the improvement and growth of organizations, and the different stages of Human Resources.
Konuk was the Executive Board Member of the Turkish Psychologists Association, Istanbul division. He continues his studies as a founder president, psychotherapist and management advisor in DBE.
Konuk gives psychotherapy on the basis of EMDR Therapy, Family Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy models. EMDR technique and trauma intervention methods are crucial contributors to his psychotherapeutic work. Post-traumatic stress disorder, early childhood traumas, relationship problems and performance enhancement of individuals, managers and teams, modeling of employees, managers and teams, who show top performances are main areas he works on during recent years. Within the body of Humanitarian Assistance Programs (HAP), Konuk carry on social responsibility projects in different countries such as Thailand, Palestine, Kenya and Lebanon.
