Strategic Family Therapy

Strategic Family Therapy came into being in the US in 1967 when “Brief Therapy Center” was founded. A new therapy model, which was change focused, brief and an easy to learn, was developed as a result of the studies carried out within MRI (Mental Research Institute). Strategic Family Therapy methods can be used not only for problems concerning the family, but also equally effectively when individual problems are in question. Indicating tangible targets for solving problems and designing strategies for change to be used to reach the targets is the focal point of this method (approach)
