
Erkin Ünalan
Erkin Ünalan is a Pertevniyal High School alumnus. He completed his undergraduate degree in Bilgi University with TUBİTAK scholarship and an honors degree, and spent a semester at the Ghent University, Belgium. Later on, he received his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Okan University with TUBİTAK scholarship and an honors degree. Some of the institutions he received training from are CETAD, Turkish Psychologists Association, Yeniden Health and Education Association, European Youth Center, EMDR-TR Association and Institute for Behavioral Studies. Ünalan also worked as a part-time lecturer at the Maltepe University Psychological Guidance and Counseling Depratment and Kültür University Psychology Depratment.
Erkin Ünalan implements EMDR Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy and Gottman Couples Therapy in his clinical practice. His main areas of practice include PTSD, C-PTSD, substance addiction, eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia), anxiety disorders (panic disorder, social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder), mood disorders (depression, bipolar mood disorder), personality disorders (borderline personality disorder, dependent personality disorder, passive-aggressive personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder, avoidant personality disorder), sexual dysfunctions, attachment disorders and relationship problems within couples and families.
